I was going to make an appointment with Vision DJs sometime this week and book them, but now they're booked for my date (11/11/11).  Whatever.

I need a DJ now!  What DJs are you using?  Extra credit points to anybody to PMs me what their rates are, as I have NO time whatsoever to call around and fish this information out from vendors.

Try Lawrence Louis at 954-309-2632. I met with him, we loved him, but by the time we went to book him, he wasn't available for our date. I dont know if he's available for yours, but doesn't hurt to ask.

He charges $700 for ceremony through reception with no time limit, he lets you pick all the music you like and does a dont play music list plus he acts as the M.C. making all of your announcements.

I'm Spanish, FI is white boy to the bone, I've lived in South Florida most of my life, and FI is from NH...so basically I need a DJ who can play good salsa & merengue, contemporary, R & B, reggae, oldies (but never, ever, ever disco), and rock.

Lord help me, I might need a different DJ for each genre.

Steve is really accommodating and professional. FFIL is a firefighter and DJ Steve did a lot of their functions, i.e. FFIL's retirement party and he was great! Package start around $1195.

Yes Eddie B is really good.  The reason why I booked him, is because he was the DJ at a friend's wedding.  He is really good with providing information and answering any/all questions you may have.  He will play anything and everything you want.  Check out his website!

I used MB Entertainment also. I am not sure what day you are getting married but they are negotiable. Because I paid less but I got married on a Sunday

you paid less... hmm that makes me second guess the quote I was given. I'm getting married on a friday night. Too bad I already sent in the deposit or I woudlve negotiated better. Thanks!

I'm using DJ Billman. He has over 15yrs experience. He's an awesome guy and my friend used him for her wedding about a month ago and loved him.
He is doing my ceremony, cocktail hour and reception for $600. He's located in WPB but will travel. HTH!!!

What a disconnect between prices! Im very curious what the 1000 - 1500+ DJs give that set them apart from the 500 to 700 DJs? 

Its not a band, they're simply playing pre-recorded music! What am I missing here?

You should call back. I paid $1,000. It included the ceremony with microphone, cocktail hour and reception. I used Mike. I paid up front. You can always say if I pay up front can I get a better price. I was quoted $1,200 and he said if I pay up front he would do it for $1,000. Even for $1,500 I would of still used them. He did amazing.
Everyone is negotiable. I negotiated my butt off for my wedding.
