So even though I sent out BS invites a few weeks ago and the RSVP deadline was 8/1, we've had to call all but 1 person to see if they are coming. What is the purpose of putting a deadline if no one is gonna bother? But ok, fine.. no problem. Never mind that I needed a head count by this week to order chairs/tables and food. Whatever!
The worst part is FI family, which consists of dad, brother, sister and aunt. That's it!! No other family. His sister lives out in Bradenton and is the only one that has confirmed she is coming. I live in Vero Beach, so that's a drive for her. His brother, who lives in Kendall just replied, after a week of calling/texting/emailing him that he cannot make it because his car won't be able to make it. So he says to FI, why don't you rent me one. WHAT??? Is he serious? WTF?? We go to all his kids bday party, to their baby shower, I even made the cake for his son's last bday AT NO CHARGE! Aside from the money I had spend on the stuff to make the cake, I spent all day baking and decorating. To top it off, if he doesn't come, then FI dad can't come either since he doesn't drive and was dependent on him. His aunt was suppossed to come with him as well, now we have to find her a ride.
GRRR!!! They had money to go to Disney for a weekend. They have money for their outtings and throw parties and all that, but not to find a way to come to our BS... FINE. FI says that he is NOT getting him a car! We constantly have to be lending him money and now he wants us to rent him a car to drive 2 hours North to his brother's BS? Whatever!!!!
I'm more upset that his dad can't make it now. He's very ill, recently had lung cancer and had part of his lung removed, went through chemo and is on oxygen. We don't know if he will make the wedding (fingers crossed he wil) so we really want him at all the events. FI is so upset that he just said... "F*ck them ALL! I'm done bending over for them and I get nothing in return!" He's right, but I really wanted his dad here.
