I am a soon to be second wife. I have tried the search on these boards maybe I am not doing it right but, I didn't see a topic like this. I just would just like to hear from other second wives even soon to be second wives their stories or opinions on it. I am 23 and he is 36, he is my best friend and soul mate!!!
A little about our background
The thing is I am marrying my fiance on 01/01/11. We met (Both him and his first wife and myself at a work christmas get together) on 01/01/07 actually while he was married to his first wife. He and his first wife divorced in mid 2008 (June). He called me in June 2009. We went on our first date. We have been dating ever since, he proposed in January 2010. So we are fairly new engagement.
The thing is he was with his 1st wife for a long time (10 years). No children for either of us. I was friendly with his wife we got a long really well. The thing is I don't think she knows we are together. He moved away after their divorce. He was rather new to the area when we met and didn't really have any close friends there. I am just curious anyone who has been there or is here now!
I'm not trying to cause hurt feelings or anything to former 1st wives. We absolutly did
NOT date, flirt or anything when they were married/together. It was at least 6 months after the divorce we started dating.
I am excited but I am also a little concerned on the future my family keeps warning me that I might be a rebound or that 2nd marriages usually don't work out either.
