Invitations

Hey Ladies, did anyone get Letterpress Invitations? If so, where? How much?

I really like letterpress but they seem very expensive.

Re: Invitations

  • Letterpress is very expensive!!! I LOVE it too and wanted it so badly...but I just couldn't make the sacrafice to spend that much.  Maybe if I were having a smaller guest list it would have been more reasonable but $4-$5 per invite just could not fit our budget.  I looked on Etsy and found a really sweet girl, here is her link.  She will go above and beyond for you:

I ended up contracting another designer on Etsy that created the layout and look I wanted from letterpress.  She sent me a digital file of the design for $20 and we printed the invites ourselves.  With paper, RSVP's design, envelopes we spent about $115 total.  Her info is:

the reality is that most people will not appreciate the letterpress and will inevitably throw the invite in the trash.  If you can live with that and spend the money on letterpress than do it!! if not, I woul dlook into something else...good luck!!

  • Letterpress is expensive but really nice aesthetically. For my Sweet 15's, my mom ordered my invitations (about 200) and they were embossed and letterpress and it was pretty expensive. The invites were beautiful but hardly anyone kept them as a keepsake which sucks because it cost a pretty penny. When we did our invites, I had a particular style in mind and it had lace. The Etsy seller was selling 75 invites for $550! With the help of our best man, he helped us create the layout, info card, rsvp card and I purchased the lace. We got so many compliments for them and they were wayyyy less than $550.
