Bridal shower vendor reviews

If you're friends with me (or with Crystal!) on Facebook you can see some pictures :)

I always try to be as thorough as possible in my reviews, so these might get long. Bear with me!

FLOWERS, CHIAVARI CHAIRS, LINENS: DANIEL EVENTS
Ursula and I met with Benny to discuss the theme of the event, budget and all of that. At the beginning, Ursula specified how many people were attending, therefore how many tables and chairs we needed. I felt very confident that Benny would do a good job.

Come the day of the shower, I wasn't home, I was getting a makeup/hair trial in Fort Lauderdale with Fresh Beauty Studio. Ursula was on her way to my house. Basically my mother in law was manning my house. Daniel's truck gets there with the centerpieces, votives, linens, chairs ... and no tables.

Father pitches a spaz when he finds out and I get called in the middle of my trial to be told "They didn't bring any tables". Well isn't that nice. Ursula had to call and talk to Benny's office. At first they said we didn't order any tables.

Yes, yes we did.

Then they said, well, we can have the ruck return to our warehouse and bring tables for $X. Um, no. In the end, the truck went and came back with the tables at no additional cost.

Frankly, if it weren't for Ursula putting them in their place I don't think this would've gone down as smoothly as it did. So I'm going to give Daniel Events a B+

PHOTOGRAPHY: CRYSTAL FIELDING
What hasn't been said about Crystal? She's a sweetheart, and her work speaks for itself. She arrived quite on time, and didn't wait for anyone to tell her what to shoot, she started shooting right away. She's great with kids, even the shy ones (like one of my flower girls). The fact that half my guest list spoke mainly Spanish was no problem for her!

She gets an A and I hope to shoot B-pics with her for Valentine's Day!

MAKE UP & HAIR: FRESH BEAUTY STUDIO
This was my second trial because I totally changed my mind about what I wanted. I was running late but Nikol, always patient and kind, told me it was no problem. It's always a pleasure to talk with her while she's doing her thing.

The final product was what I was looking for! I wish it could've made it to the bridal shower, lol. It was raining so the way to my car everything kind of got messed up because I'm an idiot. But even then, the makeup and hair looked good! A

CATERING: THE CREPE MAKER
The cutest station I've seen, Ursula's idea was right on target! The food was delicious, there are no complaints on that part. They came prepared, with menu signs and their setup was silent, tidy, and inobtrusive. My only issue with them is that their line was too long. There were literally 10 people at a time. and with two servers, only one was doing all the work.

the other one seemed like an apprentice, because he just did very minor things. Learn all you want, buddy, but don't be a nuisance in my event. Another thing that didn't tickle my fancy was that when we reached our limit of crepes (granted, some guests ate 4!) they started to send guests away from the line (they were there for dessert). What? Crystal came over and told me what was happening, and we fixed it, but that wasn't handled in the proper way.

They get a B+ only because those crepes were WAY too yummy.

Hope some of these reviews help somebody! :)
