Hiring Staff- How does it work?

Hi Girls!

I'm new to The Knot and I'm in the beginning stages of wedding planning.

We are planning a wedding in an art gallery, meaning we'll need to bring everything in ourselves.

I am wondering how to tackle the task of hiring staff that will set up, break down and clean the site before, during and after the wedding. We'll need people to turn over the room during the cocktail hour to make it reception ready.

I am at a total loss on how to find this type of staff - any suggestions?!

Thanks!!!

Most Day of Coordinators & their team will do the Turn over. I believe it may cost a little more since they will have to bring extras crew members. At least IMO. I'm new to this whole planning thing myself & one of the locations I am interested in, I will be having the same situation. My planner told me she will just need to bring in extra help for the turn over.

if you are going into a space that is a "blank slate" requring you to bring everyting in, my suggestion is tyou work with a local decorating company.  Panache Party Rentals, ME Productions, DECO - any of them will have the chairs, tables and anything else you'll need - plus the staff to set and strike.  PM me if you need any help (I work at a place where we use their services - any plenty of other companies - all the time).
