Beach Venues

Hi everybody. I am looking for a beach front venue in a hotel. In Fort Lauderdale or Miami. I am on a budget so I am not looking to spend a lot.

I have looked at or talked to people at the following hotels. Has anyone been to wedding there or had there wedding.

The Atlantic-Fort Lauderdale
The W-Fort Lauderdale
Pelican Grand-Fort Lauderdale
Sonesta Bayfront Hotel-Miami
Marriot-Fort Lauderdale and Miami

If you have any other suggestions I would love to hear them. Thanks so much.

    An older knottie got married at the Bentley in Miami and her beach ceremony was gorgeous! Knottie PinkShoesGal used the W for her reception and it was flawless, beautiful wedding.

    Pelican Grand is beautiful.  My venue, Ocean Sky Resort, was right next to it.  We did a walk through at PG and it really is a great place.  But their space is limited.

    I got married at the South Beach Marriott and they could not have exceeded my expectations anymore than they did. I was *super* happy with everything :)

    I was a budget bride all the way and got a great deal. How many guests are you having? If you'd like more info, let me know.

    I still lurk sometimes and saw this post. I had my reception at the W Fort Lauderdale in March and the coordinator there, Jennifer, was a dream to work with. The catering staff the night of were wonderful as well. I'm not sure of your budget, but I wouldn't call the W budget-friendly, though.
    TTC since May 2011 "Natural" BFP 1/2/2012 with cp 1/5/2012 5/2012: SA and CD 3 bloodwork perfect 6/2012: Clomid + Trigger + TI = BFN 8/2012: HSG all clear. Clomid TI cycle canceled due to thin lining 9/2012: Lap and Hysteroscopy: mild endo, uterine fibroids and septum, and ovarian cyst all removed

    I also got married at the W Fort Lauderdale last month and agree with everything PinkShoesGal said. They staff and Jennifer were beyond amazing and our wedding was simply flawless. 
    Our guests are still raving about what an amazing and beautiful wedding it was. The W is not like any other venue around, its an experience just being in that hotel. If you want more info you can email me, I'd be happy to help

    I am having about 60 guests. I really like the W. I think it is just a little to expensive for me. I was hoping for some more suggestions on new places.

    You can check out the Palms Hotel in Miami Beach. Although if u get a hold of the lady, tell her I would like my five million calls returned, lol. Been leaving messages for 2 weeks and no call back....

    I am going through the same thing as you. I have been looking into the Grand Beach Hotel in Miami, The National Hotel and the Bank of America Tower. I'm going to check some out next week. I'm on a budget too and not sur what any of these venues will cost. Guess I will figure that out real soon. haha.
