Just got back from our trip of a lifetime and I can really say it has been the happiest time of our lives. The only thing I would change would have been the rain on my day, mother nature didn't get my memo. My Maid of Honor gave me the best advise - right before you walk down the aisle take a deep breath, look around at all of the people who truly love you both. That feeling stayed with me all night long.
Reviews:
Ceremony: Marriott Key Largo Bay Beach Resort A+++++
I rented their 2bedroom suite which was perfect for the bridal party to get ready in, view was amazing. Cathy and her team - Shay were fantastic. It rained all throughout the day but they were calm and setup the weather backup without any hesitation or sense of being frantic. They had a golf cart and umbrellas ready for us once we got to the location. All of my family members loved the tranquil location. It was absolutely perfect.
Reel Ting - Steel Drum Player - Ceremony: A+ George
This was a surprise for my hunnie. I found George through a recommendation from Cathy @ Marriott. He was so good to work with - we went over everything, he corresponded quickly. They showed up on time and played the vibe of music I wanted. I would definitely recommend, one of my favorite vendors
They have a website I listen to at work
Reception: Holiday Inn Key Largo: A+++++ Michelle Caceres
I have been the hospitality industry for over 12 years so picking a venue as important as my wedding day was extremely important. We had an intimate wedding no more than 60 people. For us we had two hot buttons for the wedding: Food & Music. They did not let me down. The food was fresh, with just enough spices, setup was exactly to my specifications, staff was friendly and attentive. Everything I could have hoped for and more
Cake: Divine Delicacies - Laura Rodriguez A+
I was so happy when I saw they are on the Holiday Inn's vendor list. Beautiful presentation, great taste, easy to work with. Delivered what was promised.
Favors: Key Largo Chocolates - Bob & Christy A+
We ordered key lime mini cakes to give as our favors. Christy and Bob personally delivered them to the Marriott for me. Christy is such a sweet woman she really took the time to give us options and suggestions to make it easy and seemless.
Reception Music: Rhythm City Production -Corey Feldman A+++++++
This was a huge hot button for us - We envisioned our wedding to be a celebration of love party and so music was the center of it all. He kept all of my family members on the floor - was charming & energetic as our master of ceremony. One of my hubby's favorite picks as a vendor.
Hair: Carmen Peleaz: B
Honestly hair and makeup were the hardest for me to find throughout the whole process and maybe it's because I put together the wedding in 5 months. Carmen was a recommendation from one of the makeup artists - she was a little hard to get a hold of in the beginning. My trial went really good - she was sweet and personable. The day of the wedding she showed up when promised, even stayed the night in Key Largo the day before so there were no hiccups. She is truly great with updos (A++++). A few of my bridal party wanted loose curls and they just didn't last 2 hours. Her prices are very reasonable, I would definitely use her again.
Makeup: Makeup by Maureen Allon: A
Maureen teaches at Miami Dade College - Kendall Campus Makeup application class. I loved my makeup trial and makeup on the day of the wedding. She brought an assistant with her who was cheerful and had a great personality but on the application of the makeup some of my girls weren't happy. main bridal party looked absolutely gorgeous and she stayed right before I got dressed to make sure everything looked perfect.
Photography: Natalie B Photography - Natalie Bieule: A (pending final pictures)
Natalie is such a joy to work with - my hunnie and I had an instant connection with her. She was so much fun during the engagement session and on the day of the wedding. Her prices are soooooooo reasonable. She gives you tons of options and different packages.
Dress-Alfred Angelo Coral Gables: C
The first thing I did the moment we got engaged was start looking for dresses. At my second location i found the one - that was tons of fun. The only catch the dress didn't come in sweetheart neckline but the sales person told me alterations could easily turn it into one. Fast forward 14 weeks - my dress didn't arrive until 17 days after, 10 days until my wedding without first alterations. When I went for alterations they told me it couldn't be done - honestly i felt like someone had pulled the rug from under me. It had to be the most frustrating and sad moment, especially when the assistant manager tells me i need to alter my vision. the next day I called the manager and told her in a non-bridezilla way how disappointed I was, 5 days later i went to pick up my dress and they worked a miracle.
Florist - A Blooming Touch: A+++
Beatrize is such a sweetheart, i found her at a bridal show and she was extremely so flexible. my bouquet, bridal party flowers and centerpieces were phenomenal. Loved working with them.
Officiant - Ana Ramirez - Florida Wedding Officiants A++++++++++++++++
She is such a remarkable, loving, generous and wonderful person. We couldn't have pictured not having her as our officiant. We felt completely at ease with her. Hands down our favorite vendor and a huge friend.
Invitations - The Stylish Scribe (etsy) A+ Jessica was easy to work with and everyone loved my invites
Last but not least - Fiance, Now Husband - this man is so very incredible and I'm blessed to have him as my partner. He let me run the show and trusted me in every sense. His smile throughout the entire weekend was something I will treasure forever.
Ladies, thanks for letting me share. If you'd like to contact me about any of my vendors in further details feel free at dianemlopez at gmail.com
