Re: Mr.Tux vs. Men's Wearhouse???

  • It seems like Mr. Tux is more like a local store. Men's Wareshouse is a large company. IMO it depends what you prefer. I really like the wide selection Men's Warehouse has.
  • I've had a bad experience with my fiance being in a wedding and his tux being huge with stains after being fitted with Men's Wearhouse, so I would reccommend Mr. Tux or Jos. A. Bank.

    GL!

  • We have groomsmen in 7 states, we went with Mens Wearhouse. They have an interactive online tool to see who has paid/went for fitting & who hasn't. Also- with 5 (i think) rentals groom gets his free & a free suit to keep. I've heard some negative things about MW but I've heard a lot more positive things. Fi's been in 3 weddings, all MW, no problems. And if there were any, when the guys went to pick up/try on rentals 2 days before, the problems were corrected and new/correct items were received in time.

Also- I don't really think the GM care enough to try on a suit. A suit is a suit. It's not the same as a bridesmaid dress where fit, color, length etc has to be considered.

I'd check out both places and then compare, and go from there.

  • Is Mr. Tux in South Florida only? Our wedding is in Miami, but the groom and groomsmen are all located in different states.
  • I think it depends on the guy. Cuz mine is picky and I've seen some terrible fitting suits lol
  • We went with Mr. Tuxedo as well because we too were taken back that the guys can't try them on. Mr. Tuxedo is really accomodating. All of our groomsmen are from out of state but we are still not going with MW.

[QUOTE]Mr. Tux all the way. I hated Men's Wearhouse-they don't even let the guys try on their suit. They have to basically just choose it from the maniquin or try a "similar" one. If your guys don't care what they look like that day then I guess it's okay but Mr. Tux lets you try them on and has great customer service, was a little cheaper and has a better return policy (they give you more time while men's only gives you like a day)
