Miami Bachelorette

I'm planning a bachelorette for the last weekend in June in Miami. Any ideas on what to do, where to stay, etc? Do we need to rent a car? There will be about 6 of us plus the bride's Mom and Aunt.

Thank you!

Are you going to Miami Beach or just staying in Miami? Just asking to see where you want to rent... Also what kind of places do you want to go to ? Clubs, bars, resturants?? :)

I think we'll end up staying in and going to Miami Beach

If you're staying on Miami Beach at a centrally located hotel, you could just take a taxi to/from the airport and walk around Miami Beach, or take a taxi anywhere. Might not be necessary to rent a car, but that depends where you want to go. The public transportation system sucks. As for hotels, depends how much you want to spend. The Tides Hotel is nice and in a great location. Loews Hotel too. Explore Lincoln Road, it's a nice walk during the day. South Pointe Park is nice too. For a wild Latin night go to Mango's. It's become kind of touristy, but the hot waiters dancing on the bar... it's nice eye candy IMO ;) And if you tell them it's a bachelorette party, they might take you up on the bar and do a dance for you!

    (no no no mangos)
The Loews is great but expensive. The Surfcomber is right on the beach and near Lincoln rd, and pretty reasonable. Look at tripadvisor.com because alot of the cheaper Art Deco hotels are shady. Def do not rent a car, parking is super expensive and a pain in the a** and cabs are so easy to take here. But I would try stay around streets 5-25th I would say. A cab from MIA is around 35.. otherwise you can reserve super shuttle. But The musts for just a weekend is Ocean/Collins ave and Lincoln rd. You will find tons of different shops and food. I'm not sure if your looking to bring mom and Aunt out to clubs so Im going to leave that area alone.

I agree with NO to mango's that place is cheesy, sorry :-/ However, I would look into staying in a hotel that has a nice pool and club/lounge in the hotel. Some hot spots are: Fontainebleau, W hotel, Mondrian, and Gansevoort. HTH :)
