So stressed

Hi ladies, I haven't been on in a while. We decided to change our wedding date to May 25, 2013......I'm sooo stressed out. My caterer fell through so now we have to look for a new one. I'm going for a vintage look and my reception is indoors, but I'm having trouble envisioing it being decorated and looking how I want it to. Any ideas of vintage decor and any caterer recs in broward county? Any help is much appreciated. Crossing my fingers I don't lose my mind.

Sorry you are stressed. Take a deep breath, it will all work out one way or another.

I've heard great things about Doris' Italian Market. I know someone who had them cater their 125 person wedding, they provided servers, and bartender food, dishes, etc. for a reasonable fee.

    Good luck!

  • I'm also doing a vintage indoor wedding! I definitely understand how it's a little tricky - it feels like a lot of the vintage decor really feels best suited for a garden setting sometimes.

Have you settled on your flowers? We're incorporating birdcages into our centerpieces to give it a little flare. We are also using a lot of vintage frames to showcase favors, signage, etc.

If you have a bigger budget, this place looks AMAZING for rentals. http://www.unearthedvintage.com/index2.php

  • Definetly understand what you are going through. In regards to cater recs, have none but have you tried googling Vintage Indoor Weddng Ideas. There are plenty of pictures of beautiful weddings. One of the images I found was this one. http://www.weddingandpartynetwork.com/blog/wedding-ideas/vintage-inspired-wedding/

Then you have to search Craigslist and see what you can find. For example:

I have actually looked into unearthed vintage, and I love them, but they are a bit pricey. I feel like the entire wedding needs to be outside for it to work out best. I can't do that to fi and our guests, especially in may. For centerpieces I bought silver trays amd stained different vases in different shades of blue. We will mismatch the flowers and have some candles around but I feel like I need to do more. I have no clue what to do for decor for the actual room.

Oh you can definitely make that work! Just from a quick google search, there was another wedding there that definitely had a vintage/romantic/quirky vibe: http://floridianweddings.com/2012/10/wed-kenny-angela/

  • Sorry to hear about all the stresses. Sending you good vibes. Tastebuds is a great caterer and they are in Broward Cnty. 954-584-3663 We have used them in the past. So easy to work with.

    Hope that helps.

It is so beautiful, they are a little strict but it's so beautiful and affordable I couldn't pass it up. The inside is very nice, the only downfall is that half of it is carpeted and it's dark green and the chairs they provide are very nice but also dark green. I feel that they carpet is so overpowering but with all the encouragment from everyone I feel alot better about it.
  • i used Sonia Torrellas from torrellas catering. She was ABOVE AND BEYOND AMAZING! Everything was perfect on my wedding day.
