Cake tasting cancelled- Vent!

I am sorry to complain, but I am so annoyed!!! I live in Orlando and I am planning my wedding in Delray and we had a cake tasting appointment for this weekend at Sugar Chef Bakery...and they just cancelled because they have "too many deliveries on Sunday". I told her we are travelling from Orlando, specifically for this appointment and she said "well, can't you pick another Sunday."

I know I am being over dramatic, but I was so excited for this appointment and to be able to cross something else of the list! I told her its expensive to travel back and forth all the time so I needed her to give me an appointment that wasn't at risk of being cancelled....no response. Arghh.

wow...its not like you LIVE down here and you can reschedule no problem...yes, this is a red flag for sure.  They should have accomodated you!

Try Couture Cakes in Delray Beach.  They are awesome!

Where in Delray is your wedding?

Its at the Seagate Beach Club. I've heard other good things about Couture Cakes so I am going to give them a call. Thanks

AHHHH sorry you are having so many vendor problems!! Like Danielle said try Couture Cakes! That's where i went. The delivery charge isn't high since it's right down the street. Maria is great!

Oh no, I'm so sorry! Will you be down for the weekend or just sunday, because I am going tomorrow to Sugar Chef for my tasting, maybe you can go tomorrow or sunday.  I hope it works out, I've heard nothing but great things about them...

Sunday is what she cancelled on me. I am heading down there tomorrow afternoon. I just want to see some cakes, taste a couple flavors and I can even leave pics of what I am looking for and she can email me prices. If she mentions any cancellations let me know . have fun though and let me know how it is.

I went to Sugar Chef in Cityplace in West Palm to try flavors... no formal tasting or anything, they just gave me a slice of each of the flavors we had asked for.  They should totally be able to do that for you!  We didn't end up going with them, but they do make pretty cakes.

So far no cancellation (fingers crossed) but I will let you know how it goes.  Try calling tomorrow or going to the cupcake store in city place like pp mentioned I'm sure something has to give...
