Windows on the River

Hello!
I looked up prior posts about Windows on the River and mostly saw bad things.  My fiance and I are seriously considering using them as both our ceremony and reception venue.  Has anybody had a GOOD experience there?

Any advice is appreciated.  We are planning a wedding on a serious budget and the combo package of cake, centerpieces, and bar for a low price is drawing us in.  Plus, we love the warehouse feel.

A nice, budget friendly venue near downtown is Massimo Di Milano. I have heard a lot of good things about them and we nearly had our wedding there.

If you are open to other places that are not downtown you can easily find a place with reasonable package prices and a nice venue. After my experience with the coordinator at Windows I would not book with them despite the decent price.

When I was in high school one of my teachers had her wedding reception there and she had nothing bad to say about it. I have not had a personal experience with it but she seemed really happy with it. If I were you I would book it if you have had a good experience with them so far and everything feels right.

I booked my reception there after some mixed opinions I read on here.  One of the reasons I booked it is because I liked the package pricing--we went with the signature package and upgraded a few things.  The centerpiece, bar, cake, linens, tons and tons are all included.  Those things add up!  I also LOVE the loft/warehouse feel--I wanted something unique, but I don't want to run up the bill.  I am hoping to keep the budget aroune 20k, which I think is a LOT!  I think for all of the bad reviews I read on here, I read even more good ones.  I am working with Molly Coyne as the coordinator at WOTR and she has been wonderful.  I would recommend it:)

I am also working with Molly at WOTR! She is very quick to respond to emails, and she was very helpful when we went to view the facility. I have a cousin who had a wedding there and just raves about it. I think it all depends on the bride and how you treat people too. I have not had my wedding yet, but I would recommend it. It is definitely one of the most unique venues in Cleveland, and the packages make the pricing affordable!

I had my wedding at WOTR and it was awesome!  Everyone loved the atmosphere and Molly Coyne was great to work with.  I too loved the package options and chose some upgrades as well.  I honestly haven't read too many negative comments about WOTR and was surprised to hear that there were some.  Good Luck!

I LOVE WOTR!  My wedding was on Saturday and they couldn't have done a better job.  The food was great and Ryan, the manager on duty during our event, was so attentive and on top of every detail.  My cousin also had her reception at WOTR 6 or 7 years ago and loved it as well. 

I received several glowing comments on the venue from guests - many of whom said it was the most fun they've EVER had at a wedding!

I very strongly recommend Windows on the River!

Further question about WOTR...

I am having my wedding there next September, and I am having a little trouble choosing colors.  At first I wanted to do a chocolate/champagne color combo, but I am not sure how it would look in the loft style setting.  Any ideas or thoughts about colors? 

And thanks for the positive post about WOTR, after reading some negative stuff on here I got nervous about having my wedding there.
