So, long story short.....
Josh's BFF, Jay, enlisted in the army (with 1 semester left of college...) and served in both Iraq and Afghanistan for 4 years. He finished about a year and a half ago from the army.
Last week, he got a call saying he's being redeployed. EVEN THOUGH he finished his 4 years, they're calling him back. He's supposed to leave January 17th - meaning he's going to miss our wedding (and be gone for up to a year...).
Josh is devastated. We all are.. we thought his time away was over.
SO, Jay is appealing - he's actually going through a divorce right now (very sad...) and needs to attend some court meetings for it, etc. We're hoping the appeal goes through and he doesn't have to go - we love him for serving our country and doing amazing things, but we want him to stay with us in the states. He's a groomsmen and we're not going to replace him - we decided if he does, we'll still include him on everything (the program, etc) and we'll make a donation to a veteran's hospital or something.
