This weeks theme is garters. While a lot of brides opt out of this tradition, it can be a fun way to incorporate your interests as a couple and maybe even your something blue



Military garters








sports themed garters are very popular




Harry Potter themed (or favorite movie)







You could incorporate your overall theme or colors



 or keep it traditional.

Etsy has some fabulous sellers for these and they are also a really great and relatively simple DIY project.

Diony- love the Harry Potter and Peacock ones!  And Annie- those are really pretty.  They look so delicate and vintage-y :-)

Here's mine I got from Ebay.  FI has a sleeve of skull tats so it's perfect for us :-)

This is probably a stupid question with an obvious answer, but why is it always two garters? 

Is one for the toss?

What beautiful and creative garters!  I love those lacy ones.  I've actually never seen anything like those.  Mine is just a regular ivory satin one with a navy blue stripe around it (for my "something blue").  I'm fine with it, but you ladies are so inspiring!  :-)

I thought it was the coolest thing once I started looking around. We went with Gator garters because FI is a huge fan and a legacy. It's also one of my something blues.

Yeah, same here!  I never saw any garters besides the typical ones and was so psyched when I saw someone post theirs and then I kept looking up ideas.

So loving the other sports themed ones! I was born in Pittsburgh and raised as a HUGE Steelers/Penguins fan.
