Stressed... I need help : (

Hey ladies,

I'm an out of town knottie and we cannot seem to make up our mind on our venue.  We are aiming for a very budgeted wedding, but need about 120 guests.  I'd ideally love to get married at the beach, but price wise, I don't think it can work out...  I'm fine with it, I just want us to have a confirmed venue already...  We're aiming for end of September beginning of October 2010 in the Miami area (Ft. Lauderdale, North Miami, Miami, is all fine too, basically the greater miami area is fine).  Any suggestions on locations?  I'm ready to give up....  : (

Please help!

Do you have a price budget per person? Maybe that would help narrow down places to recommend? Also do you want to do the ceremony on the beach as well?

Don't give up!!! As cheesy as it sounds.. the right place for you is out there. With a little more info, price wise, I'm sure we can steer you in the right direction. :)

What about an outside garden wedding. I looked into the Miami Beach Botanical garden I really loved the place, they had it booked for my day. You can also look at my current venue the Westig Colonnade. Overall it depends what your budget is.

There are plenty of places that fall within any budget I think.  It must be hard when you are from out of town.  I'm not sure what your price per person would be~ but perhaps something with a bay water view instead of a beach might be more economical? The rusty Pelican has a nice bay view, as does The Barnacle and Grove Isle~ Lots of hotels as well~ just a thought

Try Newport Beach Resort & Double Tree both in Sunny Isle. Also Marriott & Crowne Plaza in Hollwood Beach.

i'd say try the newport beachside resort. my guests stayed there this past weekend for my wedding and had great reviews. we did the rehearsal dinner bbq there and it was really fun. and i know that they had wedding packages for 3hrs including open bar and everything else (linens and plates and chairs too) for about $45 for person.
and you can get married outside.  it isn't a 5 star hotel but i think it's nice.

or you can try and do what i did-- i had my ceremony and reception at the shane center and found an inexpensive caterer.   hth

Try The Rusty Pelican. They aren't on the ocean, but are on the bay and have a beautiful view.
