    Not necessarily. I went to engagement party last year and there was no music. Just food. I think the mood of the party really depends on what you and your FI want.

    I don't think you need to book a DJ, just make a great playlist on your IPOD and set up a stereo and have it playing in the background, ppl are going to just be talking to you about what your plans are for the wedding just have good food and wine  : )
