Makeup Trial Question

I have a makeup trial session this upcoming weekend and it will be my very first one. I was wondering how many makeup looks did your MUA try on you and if any of you girls scheduled your makeup trial on the day of your engagement shoot?

I only had one look, but if you did not like it she was willing to change it to something I did. I just loved the way the first one looked. I did not have my make done the same day as the dengagement shoot, but only because I was having vintage pix done and I wanted 2  different looks. Also I wanted to make sure her work was what I was looking for.

Make sure you verify with the artist if there is a price for the trial or if the trial price goes toward the services for your wedding day. 

Sadly I didn't now any better. I spoke with the artist multiple times, scheduled an appointment twice (they scheduled it wrong originally), and NEVER mentioned a price or anything until AFTER the hair/makeup trial was over. $125 (not included in the $250 wedding day services) that could have went to something more important for the big day. Needless to say, she can keep her contract.
