Ohio-Cleveland

guidance

I am getting married in Cleveland next June.  The problem I am having is that I live in Kentucky and it is hard to make some decisons without being there.  What I am looking for is suggestions for photographer, somewhere to get a cake, DJ, and limo services.  I am open to and will check out all suggestions.  Thanks in advance.

Re: guidance

  • Where are you getting married in Cleveland?  Where is the reception?  How many people are invited, and how many in the bridal party?

Wild Flour Bakery does gorgeous cakes, I used them for my first wedding and other various events.  http://wildflourbakery.com/ Frieda's Bakery in Ohio City has some of the best cupcakes ever.  Not sure how the wedding cakes are, but I have to imagine they are as fantastic as their cupcakes:  http://grandmafredas.webs.com/

For limos, I've had a lot of success with A1 Mr. Limo:  http://a-1mrlimo.com/ You might also try Red Sparrow:  http://redsparrowlimo.com/

Photographer: zmedia Dj: Tim from bride's dj Limo: a1mr limo Florist: roses for wedding Also we used heidzillas for partial planning and day of coordinator.
  • My photographer is Iris Photography. I already had my engagement shoot with her and I love her! We are still waiting on our disc, but what I have seen is great! Her website is irisphotography.org For a DJ we are taking her recommendation and using the DJ Crew. I have already talked to them multiple times and they seem great. If you call them and tell them that Aly Endress referred you, you can get a discount! I am also planning from out of state and both of these people have been more than flexible. I hope this helps a little bit.
  • Our vendors:

Photo: Malick Photo: Carol is amazing!  Our engagement pics are beautiful! Check out her website.

DJ: Jerry Bruno Productions: At our first meeting, we were given a DVD with bios of all of their DJ's, so we could choose who we liked.  Also have musicians, so we booked a guitarist for our cocktail hour.

    Good luck!
  • If I were out of state I would hire a coordinator. It might not be cheap but you can tell them what you are looking for and they'll know exactley where to look to get you what you want. You can still do things like invites yourself and some of the smaller things, but let someone else stress out finding you what you want from a reliable vendor. The stress they will save you will be so worth it because you can relax more & enjoy your day.

  • I'm using Suzuran Photography.  Her pictures are amazing and she's very affordable.  She is super nice too!
  • Ditto on Jerry Bruno, I've heard lots of great things about them.

  • I am also an out of state bride living in Chicago.  Our wedding is coming up in September and we have used the following vendors that have been awesome to work with since we live out of state with all of them even seting up appointments to meet with us on days they are usually not open.
    Limo-  BVIP Limo
    Photographer- LaValle Digital Art (Berea)
    DJ- Rock the House Entertainment
    Cake-  Wild Flour Bakery
