with my wedding planning right now?

im on the hunt for a videographer and a DJ. i also hate the fox hollows linens and cakes. boo. i spent two hours last night setting up my programs and menus. wtf? im 9 months out. is this how it goes? are there "breaks" in planning?

i need something to do! lol

    i definitely felt like there were 'breaks' in my planning...

    i just would try to space myself from it (easier said than done!)
    it was nice though, to actually have a couple weddding planning-free weeks. take advantage!! Wink

    Lol..I feel same way sometimes. I just start doing random things! I ordered stuff for the reception and totes for the girls and Im almost 11 months out. HMMM..what else can we do?
    As for a videographer..have you checked out Reinhardt Productions? I just booked with them and I like them!

    I get bored too and I am 6 months out...lol.  I want to be able to do more stuff right now, but with finals next week I have to just make a list of things to cram in over the Christmas Break.

    I can totally relate. For about 3 months, I didn't do anything wedding-related (except knotting!).

    Tiff - at least you have finals! lol I picked up extra shifts at work. This time last year I was taking my finals and graduating college! 

    RU - I'm a NY bride, actually. No FL vendors for me!

    LOL I feel the SAME way!! I'm at a period where I have more 'chores' and less fun creative activities so I look at my task list and I'm like ... 'eh'. I'd rather look at wedding blogs and gawk over pictures. I only have 82 days to go and I need to get it together cuz I know the time will fly!

    I'm with you Tess.  I'm stuck.  I feel its too early to do certain things, becuase if I buy stuff I know I am going to change my mind about them by Sep.

    definteily breaks. Points where you need to walk away from it for a bit... you've got a lot of time. Don't stress it.

    totally understood.

    I went through a lull and I just finished the last of my major vendors - from here on out it's little purchases along the way!!

    I'm seriously going to miss planning when it's done :(

    i have so much stuff done early (at the one year mark now) that i feel like i'll be bored pretty soon, but that's okay because school is going to get ridiculous spring semester.

    I'm with you Courtney, I'm going to be so sad (and bored) when the planning is over. My FI will miss it the most though -- me planning wedding stuff on the computer = endless hours playing Call of Duty on the PS3 for him...

    Tess, girl, how can you be bored?

    You will realize later how many things you missed :)  GET TO WORK! Make little "reserved" signs if you're doing that... make valet tags, buy votives if you want them, book that videographer, start making all the details you can.

    I chilled for way too long and I am freaking out a little bit with 4 months left!  I realize how many details I need to take care of
