Our very first picture was taken in December 2009. I had completed my first year in grad school and we were on our way to do some Chirstmas shopping. The picture was taken before we started shopping gifts for each other's parents. We did not spend Christmas together that year because we had only started dating a month prior and I thought it was too soon to bring him home to meet my parents. He met my parents and extended family that New Year's Eve.

This pic. was taken at Houlihan's for my 23rd birthday dinner wayyy back in 2004.  My God, that was a long time ago!  lol  This was a year after we first started talking and seeing each other. One of BM's (friend since 1st grade) has the same birthday as me, so we were celebrating our birthday dinner together with about 6 or so other close friends.  This was also the first time half of them met my Dorky :-)

Well FI & I met through one of my very close friends who was his coworker at Felix Varela Senior. I had been best friends with his brother all through High School but had never met him because of our age difference (he's almost 3 years older than me). I had been in a long term relationship with someone who was never around, so I went to alot of events alone and my friend always accompanied me because she was in a long distance relationship. Well one night she begs me to go to happy hour with her and her coworker, so the friday before Valentine's Day I went with her to Blue Martini Kendall and met Diony. He took a picture to send to his brother (who tex him book, "are you hooking youwith her??" LOL!). Well he clearly wasn't but I feel so lucky to have a picture of us on the first night we met...even if he is wearing a terrible sweater!!

We went to the same high school (middle school too, in fact) and knew of each other, hung out in the same circle but never actually met or spoke. In 2005, when his best friend at the time came home for Christmas from the Navy (a guy I was friends with), he invited me to the month-long bonanza he had planned for him and all our friends. Once his friend left in January 2006, a small group of us stayed friends. Then in June 2006, we got together, and it was just us two left. This was taken at a friend's house in March 2006 (when we were still just friends) where he put on a Freddy Krueger mask to scare her (that's what's on his head) and here he's got me in a sort-of rear naked choke SLASH noogie situation where I'm doing what I do best... curling up into a ball for fear of being tickled. LOL.

We can't help but smile when we look back and see how far we've come in our relationships and think of all the fond memories. I love reading all these stories.

We met ONLINE back in January of 2010 Funny, a girl from South Florida meets boy from Alaska. We talked for a couple of weeks before I had the guts to meet him in person. We met at a coffee shop and we talked for hours! He has been next to me through thick and thin and I absolutely love him for that. This picture is literally our first picture. We took it at the Alaska Zoo around the end of January.
