The past week has been incredibly horrible. When we started planning out wedding I knew I would be a Budget Bride. We had saved up what we could for the wedding. As a young girl I had never dreamed of an extravagant wedding. I knew my parents wouldnt have been able to afford such a huge expense.
My FFIL knew our situation and offered $20,000 for the wedding!! I was hesitant at first because I'm use to working for the things I have, but my fiance assured me that we should graciously accept.
Well last weekend, my FFIL, decided we should post-pone the wedding. WE ARE 3 MONTHS AWAY FROM THE WEDDINGG!! We already sent out save-the-dates. I was in shock.
He hasn't been involved other than offering to pay vendors so I dont think he knew how much we put into it. It was devastating. He said he thought we should wait until Spring 2013. It made no sense to me, what is the differance between a couple of months? (this is in no way a financial problem, I would be compassionate if that was the situation)
Today, he told us the wedding is still on.
Im exhausted.
