My FMIL confirmed with us this past weekend she will talk to her family relative who she asked for her daughter to be our FG that it will not be necessary. I'm not gonna lie....I am pretty relieved about this because FI and I never wanted a FG. We do not have any nieces nor small girls close in age to our nephews. Besides, I was dreading to find the perfect FG dress with burnt orange accents....

It was a pain in the butt to find burnt orange BM dresses and I didn't want to go through this again!

Last week I kicked out my bridesmaid/cousin via text message. In my defense, she missed my engagement party for a sorority event, never called and 6 months out from the wedding still didn't know what the bridesmaid dresses looked like because she didn't know anything about the wedding. After it happened her Mother said I should have given her a chance and that I never tried to contact her. Ridiculous!!

Other confession, I went to a friends wedding and studied it a la Four Weddings. I know have a ton of notes for my wedding planner lol!!

I am getting really annoyed that FMIL hasn't done anything to make travel arrangements to get to FL for the wedding.  There are really great flights from a local airport to FLL but she still hasn't booked.  We went to pick her up on the way to a party and she was asking about what kind of dress she should wear and FI said, "oh you're coming to the wedding?"  I almost died laughing.  I think what is really bothering me, (which I may have said before) is that she went to our exes wedding a few weeks ago after lying to us and saying that she wasn't going.  Now thinking that she might not make it to ours just feels kinda shitty...

To keep from strangling my mom, I've decided I'm not telling her I'll be sending the invitations 2 weeks earlier than she wants them sent. She thinks I should wait to send them until Aug. 31st/Sept 1st. (She's throwing my bridal shower on the 1st) I think they should be sent out by Aug. 17th. So I'm gonna send them when I want to, and just pretend I dropped them in the mail on my way up to her place in Vero Beach.
I'm also freaking out that my maid of honor won't be able to get her dress without paying a ridculous amount for it. She left for a 2 and a half month backpack around Europer at the start of the month- to finish with her & her sister enjoying a bunch of events at the Olympics. I don't even know if she'll be able to come to my bridal shower, let alone if she ordered her dress before she left. Deep breaths...
I feel like I've accomplished so much of the wedding planning, but all of a sudden I feel like I'm a bridezilla with the way my mom has been acting lately! Ugh.

Don't you think that she is going to know that you sent them before she wants you too if she gets the invite before you said you sent them and sees the postmark?

My FMIL, who I love, wants us to move our wedding date because its the same weekend as a cheerleading competition that his sister is attending. My FI said too bad she won't be there for the wedding. He hates cheerleading and how obsessed his mom is with it.

Oh, that's the other part of my confession, I'm sending hers on my way up. Obviously she knows when and where the wedding will be, and since my dad already has the room block set up, it will be easy for them to book whenever- as opposed to many of my guests who don't know the venue yet, or about the room block, what hotel it's at, or what the price will be (which is the main reason I want to send the invites sooner rather than later). All of my family is traveling from out of town, and having the hotel information as soon as possible will help ensure more of them can attend.

OMG!! My FMIL was describing her dress for the wedding and told me it has a train on it!!!! a train!!! as if she is the bride!! I have a very expressional face and I know I must have made some look becuse she then changed the description to "draping" at the bottom in the back of her dress!! She is very frustrating to begin with but this really put me over the edge....I'm not sure how to handle her...then she was describing how she wants to have her hair done and it was like super elaborate as if she was a BM or something....oh Lord, please help!!
