Venue/Caterer: Benvenuto's in Boynton Beach (I'm almost positive they are 100% Kosher as I've attended many many Bar/Bat Mitzvahs here!). http://benvenutorestaurant.com/wedding.shtml
Yay for another bride with a kosher wedding. I feel like there aren't that many of us. Our wedding is orthodox with glatt kosher food. We are hosting ours at the Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center (they have an in-house caterer, Premier Catering).
I have looked at a MILLION venues in the south Florida area for our kosher wedding.
Just an FYI regarding the above posts, Comber Hall and Benvenuto's are NOT kosher. They both serve pork and shellfish.
We looked at the following kosher venues: Eden Roc, The Alexander, Trump International, The Ritz (Key Biscayne), Temple Emanu-El, Beth Torah, Beth David, Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center.
We also looked at the following venues that allow you to bring in kosher caterers (for an extra fee): The Biltmore, Coral Gables Country Club, The Cruz Building
I know we looked at other venues but I am drawing a blank right now.
Yeah. Another orthodox wedding!!!!!!
We are using Aroma Caterers. Ask to speak to Randy John. Awesome!!!!
We are getting married at Acqualina. Randy is their Kosher Caterer and they allow and have Kosher Kitchen. Susan at the Acqualina is awesome. It is hard to make first connection. She is overworked bit is excellent via email.
Personally - I am looking for a florist who has a Simple Chuppah (traditional, hand held, no flowers) and can do a great Bedenken Chair.
Jewish weddings lets please work together. Our wedding is in Aug and is approaching FAST !!!!!
Congrats.
Eva
Danielle is AMAZING! She's an absolute sweetheart that loves what she does! She has an amazing eye for details and is so supportive and will listen to everything you need and make unbelivably great suggestions to make your day that much more special!
Also, I'm partial to Benvenuto's since I'm having my wedding there!
Venues: The Westin Ft. Lauderdale Beach & Resort allows kosher vendors (Tammy also serves as DOC, but sound like you might want more than that?). The Newport in Miami also allows kosher vendors. Miami Beach Resort and Spa is another. I think the rest I know about are listed above.
Caterers: In addition to Aroma, I also know of Embassy Caterers (miami/nmb) and Executive Caterers (boca-based) both will travel.
Photogs- I'm using Steve Lawson- he does great work but also has all day baseline packages since i'd like photos of the Tish/Bedeken/Ketubah and can't make everything fit in 6 hours. There are lots of other great photogs recommended on this board too.
Flowers- Creations by Blanca- super affordable and has lovely chuppahs. I prefer the simpler one's and she makes it so the flowers can be re-purposed during reception, but she will absolutely work with you.
