How was your big day???

Wanted to see how everything went with Events on a Budget  I'm considering booking them to be my DOC.  They just gave me a price for the DOC package ($750, which does not include any communication).  Did you negotiate your price with them?  If so, how???  On my date only Sofia is available.  How was your experience with her?

Love to hear all the details about everything else.  Congrats!

I know she'll get back to you but OMG her wedding was amazing!!! The weather was perfect, she was gorgeous!! Sofia seems extremely attentive.. I accidentally blew bubbles in her eye and she didn't bite my head off! LOL.

Hey Nina! My day was great! Sofia did a crazy amazing job, kept things going as smoothly as humanly possible and made sure everything was done on time. She would come up to me randomly asking me if she could get me anything, and constantly re-lighting candles that were being blown out by the breeze.

When we did our final meet 2 weeks before the wedding she was only supposed to be with me for maybe 2 hours but ended up staying for almost 4 and didn't rush me or anything! She made sure every question me and my parents had were answered.

On the rehearsal day I gave her all my final vendor payments to give to them on the day of. She even helped calm me down when I started crying while we practiced our vows. 

What exactly do you mean it does not include communication, though? She's your coordinator, you have to communicate with them! I think it's one of the first things on the contract. I texted and emailed her randomly throughout my planning.

& LOL @ Lynette! Were you trying to blind my cordinator!?

I'm so glad to hear it went well!  Congrats again!!  Are you going to do a vendor review?  I always find that very helpful.  Would you give Sofia an A+?  Btw, was it just Sofia and an assistant?  Thats what I'll be getting for a party of 250.  Not sure if thats adequate enough?

They are charging me an extra $350 for unlimited phone calls and emails.  I just get the one meeting with them two weeks before the wedding.  I want more, but dont want to dish so much more out.

ooOOooh! I'm thinking maybe the extra is due to the amount of guests you have. My wedding wasn't that large at all, so we probably have different contracts. I was only supposed to have Sofia on her own, but they threw in an assistant at the last minute as a gift to us. (But since you have 250 guests, she totally HAS TO have an assistant)

I met with Sofia maybe 3 times before the rehearsal and big day. (1st time was when we met and I signed the contract, 2nd time she tagged along with Melissa for my tasting, and 3rd time was our "2 weeks before the wedding" meet up)

And yea... Sofia gets a HUGE A+++ from me.

Was she only your DOC?  I thought DOCs don't attend tastings?  Or was that in your contract?

I hired Events on a Budget for more than just a DOC.

Sofia was my DOC, and Melissa was my Event Coordinator. I don't think she HAD to be there, but on the day of my hors dourves tasting, Sofia came along with Mel.
