Quail Hollow Resort or The Lodge at Geneva

I am an out of state bride. Does anyone have any input on either of these venues?

Quail Hollow Resort?  Are you talking about Quail Hollow in/near Hartville, OH?  Before I go into description, I'll make sure we are talking about the same place :)  I've not heard it called a resort before.

The Lodge at Geneva is gorgeous.  I had a friend get married there a few years ago.

I have lived right near quail hollow my whole life. I actually almost drown there once when i was 4 :)  I looked there for my wedding.  Its an amazing resort, with excellent service.  CK steakhouse is wonderful and would be perfect for a rehearsal dinner.  The only drawback I saw as a bride was the hall.  I wasnt so impressed with the hall, it had lower ceilings and outdated carpet.  That being said, that is the ONLY drawback of quail hollow, and that might just be my personal taste.  I have heard positive things about Geneva, have never been there though.  I am having my wedding at Pine Ridge Country Club which I thought was gorgeous.

If you are looking for venues, my favorites in the area are:

    Pine Ridge CC (wickliffe)
    Hillbrook (chagrin falls)
    Windows on the RIver (downtown)
    Manakiki (for smaller wedding)
Geneva - heard great things never been

My fiancee and I just looked at Quail Hallow Resort last weekend and it is beautiful.  It would be convenient for you if you have a lot of out of town guests, because they could just stay at the resort for a discounted price.  They lady we spoke to on the phone told us the cheapest meal started at $45 per person, but when we got there, the cheapest ended up being $60 per person and goes up to $90 per person.  Because of the large amount of people that we plan on attending, it was a little out of our price range, but was very pretty!  They also have a tent option!  The resort owns a huge white tent they put out in the summer, and if I remember correctly, there is no additional rental fee for the tent.  It is worth checking out!

Thank you all so much for your input! I think we will look into the Lodge at Geneva, Quail Hollow Resort, and Hillbrook. What did the ceremony site look like/consist of at Quail Hollow? We are looking to have an outdoor ceremony.

Be sure to call ASAP to set up an appt with Hillbrook.  When I went in January to book for our July 2012 wedding, she said almost all of the dates from May-Sept 2011 were booked and many for summer 2012 were already booked too (we got closed out of 2 dates).  <div>That being said, the space there is gorgeous so if you can get a date definitely look into the venue.</div>

we are having our wedding at the Lodge at Geneva on the Lake. It's a beautiful place and has rooms that the guests can stay in. The prices start at $65 per person but that includes the open bar, champagne toast, apps etc.

A couple of years ago my sister got married and had her reception at The Lodge at Geneva. It was really nice and the food was great. Good luck!!
