Spring Valley Golf and Athletic Club??

Hi,

Does anyone know anything about Spring Valley Golf and Athletic Club in elyria ohio? I can't find many wedding pictures there but their prices are very good and it looks pretty.  Has anyone gotten married there or know someone who has or are going to get married there? Let me know :)

I know someone that got married there - it was pretty unorganized (it was one of the first since they remodeled it, so maybe the service has improved).  It is definately not a place for spring/summer wedding as they have an old pool that is quite an eye sore from the patio/deck - but in winter with snow you would not notice it.

This country club has gone in and out of business for the past several years - I think there was ownership changes and maybe even bankruptcy. I would recommend touring the facility - I did not as family members suggested against using that as our venue.  Much luck!

Thanks ladies.. We ended up booking it and now of course I am nervous reading your responses.  We went and were completely "wowed" by the place.  It was absolutely gorgeous on the inside and included much much more than any other place we have been to had to offer as far as space and extra rooms.  I believe it did change ownership the lady who is in charge of it now is really sweet an amazing.  She seems to be very ontop of everything and extremely involved.. but who knows I guess we will see! I just wasn't sure if anyone out there has already gotten married there so I could get some info or advice on the place (in the more recent weddings there since the ownership change).
  • I just visited this place today actually and am still trying to find my reception venue. I'm not sure what to do because I love the facility but the owner, Bob, seemed extremely unorganized. Have you worked with him? How is/was your experience?
