Where are you taking photos on wedding day?

I have three hours between the ceremony and the reception and we want to go somewhere rustic to take pictures. I would much rather a park than an urban setting.

Any suggestions? We are getting married in Parma but can go anywhere

  • There is a beautiful bridge over the creek at Big Creek Parkway and Brook Park Road, plus that whole stretch of Big Creek Parkway between Brook Park and W. 130th is beautiful and offers a lot of pretty places for photo ops.  I can give you better directions if you want them.

Look at nps.gov on the Cuyahoga Valley National Park site, you can get to the toepath off of Rockside in Independence.  There are some pretty photo ops down there right on the river.

The Metroparks off of Valley Parkway (Grayton Road exit off of 480) has a ton of nice places to take pics, it's about 12-15 minutes from Parma, depending on where in Parma you will be.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with the area, but I can give you more info and directions if you need them.  The Metroparks is probably your best bet.

There's also a covered bridge in Olmsted Falls that is a great photo spot. And, the downtown area (Grand Pacific Junction) is kind of an old timey 'downtown' with lots of cute shops along the railroad tracks.

Berea Falls, on I think(?) Nobottom Rd. off Bagley would work, too. The falls area isn't very big, but it's pretty.

In Bedford, there's Bridal Veil Falls (appropriate name, eh?) in the Metroparks there.

Quite a bit more east, Brandywine Falls is gorgeous. It's kinda near the ski resorts (Boston Mills/Brandywine). I think it's actually part of the CVNP?
