Art Deco Venue - on a budget

Hi Girls!
Super excited about my first post-- I feel like this is a bridal milestone.

Anyway, my fiance and I are planning a December 2013 wedding in South Florida.

We LOVE art deco architecture and we love Mad Men-- so a retro Miami wedding would be perfect for us-- but I'm having trouble finding a venue I love that's in our price point. To give you an idea of our taste, we LOVE The Shelborne on Miami Beach, but it may be just out of budget.

Any ideas on SUPER-chic venues in South Florida? Ft. Lauderdale or Miami is great.

How about the Art Deco Welcome Center in Miami Beach...def worth checking out. Also, depending how many guests you plan to have then check the Filmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater. It's a great venue to use for a large wedding and the best part, you can have your first dance on stage (which is awesome!).

I'm obsessed with the idea of the Fillmore, it's on my list! My fiance is a musician and we've been to a lot of shows there so it'd be fitting, but I don't know what the price point is yet!

Neither do I since it was on my list but we don't a have large guest list to use all the space so I never asked for it's rental prices. The website indicates to contact the following for info:

when researching venues, i remember a place called the art deco welcome center was available for weddings. that might be right up your alley.
also maybe the sky lobby/terrace?
