Photography Update....back to square one... :c/

Okay so I had confessed on Wednesday that I was unsure of my photographer because after becoming fb friends, I found some of the photos from their "wedding" gallery included a model, <- so it lead me to question was it a real wedding or something for their portfolio?  do they really know how to capture my memories? So....I showed up unexpectedly last Friday to speak with them in person and explain that I had a change of heart.

The Bad News: I am back to square one in hopes of looking for a photographer.  We have a good family friend offering to do it, but who knows how that can go.  I don't want to have any ill feelings if they are not super awesome if you know what I mean... :c/

The Good News:  They gave me my entire deposit back!!!  Surprised <- WOW!! I have never heard of that before, so I feel that they are generally good people/good company.

I have a tentative meeting now with Laurel Serra at the end of the month and she seems really good, any other suggestions? <- Other than the company I already mentioned I DO NOT want to work with..... I am looking to keep my photography costs under $2k, BUT I need a LOT of time... :c/  I want them to capture gettting ready, ceremony, AND reception (UNTIL the VERY end) since we're doing the paper lantern release....I estimate at least 9 hours...so any help is greatly appreciated... ;c)

    Try Stacey Poirier. I'm sure she has something in your price range. She is a very sweet lady and knows her stuff.

    Agreed. Stacey is amazing and definitely has good packages in your price range!

    I recently used Happily Ever After Portraits for my wedding and engagement.  I got everything I wanted in my package for a price I couldn't believe. 

    You may want to check them out if the other leads on this message didn't pan out!

    Check out Kristen Wynn Photography www.kristenwynnphotography.com.  She is charging me $1,000 for unlimited time!  Someone on the boards recommended her, I fell in love with her work and booked her.  She is also on FB too, so check her out.  She is amazing and very responsive!  GL

    I agree with PP suggestions. That was my budget as well and while eventually I caved for someone a bit over I know how it can be difficult to find the right vendor at your price. I promise there are plenty out there, you just have to look! (I feel like I contacted every photographer in the great Miami area when I was looking, haha) Good luck, I'm sure you'll find someone great!

    Check my post from the other day because I have the same budget. After looking into everyone's posts I am LOVING Stacey! She is super nice over the phone, she customized a package for me and I have an appointment with her tomorrow :) HTH!

    Check out BeYouImages... the owner is super sweet! I almost went with her but decided on someone else. My cousin hired her and I loved her pics!!!!

    I am so sorry you are in this position. But now you can find the photographer of your dreams and not have any doubts about your photographer. Which is so important. So I think it is a blessing in disguise.

    This is what I posted in the last photographer help section.

    I used Chelsey Boatwright Photography. She has a lot of different packages in all different price ranges. I really really like her. She has an artsy feel to her. Jess also used her and got her pictures back and says they are amazing. You also get HD CD of all your images and she gives you 100 4x6 prints.

    Oh a heads up don't go with Richard Miller. Last year a few knotties had to get together to sue him because they werent getting there images.
