Hi Ladies,
I'm not a bride. I'm the mother of a recently engaged daughter (wedding is September 21st 2013) but I think this is the perfect place to come for help. It just so happens (with our luck) that our youngest daughter is turnig 15 this October... We warned my daughter I did not want to be planning two huge events at the same time, but like she said, she her fiance never got the memo! LOL! As you can imagine we've been planning my daughter's Quinces for a while and the engagement sort of adds a new dimension... We need to save some money where we can. That brings me to my question. Today we had a meeting with the choreographer for the first time and right next to her studio we found a cake person we had never heard of. Her cakes are BEAUTIFUL! REally to die for! My daughter fell in love with a gorgeous cake that had a lifelike peacock on it (that is her theme) and we asked for a quote. The lady came in at less than 1/2 of what another baker had quoted, but she was in the process of doing some decorating and did not have anything available for us to taste. Has anyone tasted Nena's Cakes down south by the Tamiami Airport area? I don't want to commit without knowing , but we are running out of time.
