Bridesmaids Question

Is 6 bridesmaids too many for a 100 person wedding?

I was planning on having just 5 but yesterday I asked a long distance cousin if she would want to be a bridesmaid (I am super close to her but I thought she wouldnt want to because she lives out of the country) and she said yes! So i am thrilled but now I'm wondering if 6 bridesmaids are too much.... what do you guys think?

How many are you having in relation to your wedding size?

    No it is not too many at all.  It is your wedding, so you can have as many or as few as you'd like.  We are having a 75 person wedding and I have 5 BM and he has 6 GM.

    I also agree it is not too many... do as you want and if you want all 6 up there with you on the day of your wedding, then so be it :)

    Not too many, in my opinion. It's your day, have as many (or as little) as you'd like. I'm sure there's "etiquette" on this issue but sometimes it's okay to deviate from Ms. Manners!

    Nothing wrong with that at all. 

    HOWEVER, I suggest that during your ceremony you have them stand a bit back from you and the groomsmen do the same - My sister in law had 6 or 7 bridesmaids and in her video and pictures all of them were sort of in the way blocking the best view of the bride and groom.

    Ms. Manners can suck it!  Do whatever you want, it's your wedding.  If you have 6 close friends you want to play a role in your big day, more power to you.  :)

    I'm also having 6 and 6 for a 100 person wedding! It's our day, we can do what we want :)
