Hey I'm not getting married at the Weston in Ft. Lauderdale.... I was just there this weekend to meet with our officiant who was conducting that wedding. He met with us right after in the bar by the pool. We crossed the sky bridge from the south to the north tower and boom walked right into it!! I'm hoping they just had another wedding planned in whatever backup room they offered you. I would insist on seeing where they would move you guys. I would have died if I was that girl. It doesnt look like an inexpensive place to get married and I'm sure they could have done better for her. If they didnt have that convention in that sunken in spot right at the end of the sky bridge maybe it wouldnt have been so bad but they had food set up and big displays for vitamins etc. They had music and people coming in and out of the boardrooms there. literally right behind the backs of the guests sitting at the ceremony. and kids in bathing suits running screaming across the sky bridge ~ We even watched a bellhop bring a guest through the ceremony to the elevators with luggage. I really hope it's beautiful weather on your day. I'll cross my fingers but make sure they dont book that back up room on your wedding day. good luck
