DO NOT let ANYTHING stress you out. Try everything you can to let whatever it is roll off your back. There is nothing you can do about it.

    And ...

Well, I'm on the knot for the first time in probably 5 months and I see THIS and YOU. I love it!

My advice. Can you take your dress off yourself? I was STRUGGLING to take my dress off b/c I was sweaty and heavy - so remember that before you get frustrated and fussy while you're trying to be sexy. Freshen up quickly and wear the sexiest outfit you want to wear :)

You guys will be SOOO hyped up on emotions that it will just happen. I CANNOT WAIT FOR YOU TO...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So excited! Any specifics, let me know and I'm down to answer anything :)

hehheheh OOPS! Sorry... .missed ONE word! Made a world of difference.

    Ok... advice...

Take a bath together. Romantic and sweet and may help you ease into it. :) You can hide beneath the bubbles if you are still a little shy.

And for after the bath... Massages are ALWAYS nice....

And Bring lube :) You may not need it, but it can't hurt and a little goes a long way! :)

Love you honey. Hope this helps you!!

when did this turn X-rated!?!?!  Jen must be BEET RED right now!! haha
  • edited December 2011
lol i might go with tess on the $10 that you guys will pass out. BUT, since this is a first, so im going to bet $10 that YOU guys dont fall asleep.. ;)

i would make sure that unless you know how to flip a switch and your dress falls off that he gives you a hand with it..getting your hair caught in zippers and tulle all sweaty is not a great start hehe.
theres something sexy about that time anyways when he knows that your husband and wife and he's helping you out of your gorgeous gown.. and your going to be gorgeous anyways - i dont think itll take much ;)

    but advice!!!
    1. once out of the cloud of tulle, go freshen up likesuperquick.
    2. wear something cute or nothing at all lol im sure itll be appreciated
    3.  kissing totally eases everything. it relaxes you and gets the mood going.
    4. pop a bottle of champagne and toast to your first night as mr.& mrs.
    5. order some room service..having a bite of some dessert and some champagne will only ease you up more LOL!!
    6. i agree with natalie, love him with all your heart. hes going to be DEATHLY nervous..more than you. i promise. and hes just going to want you to shower him with love and comfort and the green light hehe
    7. im not much of a music gal, i would just dim the lights and let it go from there ;)
    good luck girlie!!!
    xoxo

Oh my goodness, I'm so nervous for you, Jen.  I agree with freshening up, dimming the lights, and making sure to drink champagne beforehand so that you can loosen up.  Trust me girl, you don't want to go into it completely sober, you'll be so nervous and tense that you may not find it pleasurable.  And like Jen said, bring some sort of lubricant...maybe KY?   WARNING: TMI UP AHEAD:

When FI and I do it, it's always painful for me at first and it takes the pleasure out of the whole experience for me and makes it that much more difficult for me to get into it.  It got to a point that I would make excuses for not doing it.  WELL,  a little light bulb went off in my head the other day and we used lube (JUST A LITTLE BIT, DON'T GO OVERBOARD, TRUST ME ON THIS.  A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY) and girl, it was the best. ever. I orgasmed in like .000000485 seconds. And it didn't hurt one bit, felt just right.

Good luck my love! I am so happy for you and Craig must be soooooooo freaking proud to have a woman like you to call his wife!!!!

wow i think its all covered...i say no matter what make sure you are both relaxed...of course you will be nervous LOL but try and be as little as possible...the shower idea or bath is good..a warm bath is really relaxing...and of course the champage... (hey maybe a shot if u need it LOL).... and a lot of kissing that will help you relax and get into the mood..worse thing is to be there staring at each other like what do we do next....just go with the floooowwww... :)
  • edited December 2011
ahaha what do we do next..!!! LOL!!!

thats akward. yea you definitely dont want to do that..but its also good to laugh and show that your not frigid lol ...you want to be comfortable and its okay to mess up or get tangled or miss the entrance lol but you'll end up joking about it later and itll be less of a serious performance that hes going to be rated on after.

This is a very special time for you since it will be the first time to be alone like that with him, sleeping, waking up together. It will be so magical!!! =)

Have fun and enjoy ur time =)

YES!  The waking up part is the BEST part of the whole thing.  It's going to feel so amazing.

Sidenote: Before my first marriage I used to sleep with my grandma throughout all my childhood and adolescence.  The first few weeks I slept with my ex-husband I kept telling him in the middle of the night, "Abuela, scoot OVER!"

Ditto everybody!  Also...keep in mind it'll be nothing like the romantic lovemaking scenes you're familiar with.  Yes, it'll be beautiful, and pleasurable, but don't expect it to be effortless and suave.  There's the "Ow, ow...wait, not yet..ok, now"

Sometimes your legs cramp, and you try to be a champ and suck it up, but holy crap it hurts, so you end up stopping the action for like a minute until the pain subsides.

You worry about stuff like "Oh crap, i forgot to lotion my feet, I hope I'm not scratching anything." (I have really rough feet)

    Also...
    Umm...
This is a little awkward to be the only one mentioning it too, but....

Don't do it where you plan on sleeping.  I don't mean strap yourselves to the ceiling or anything, but if you have a king size bed...pick one side of the bed for fun, and use the other for sleeping.

Oh Jen. Im so excited for you. The girls here have excellent advice, some that you may have not thought you had to even consider, lol. At the end of the day, just go with the flow.

A few things that will make you feel less awkwardwould be lights dimmed, music, and definitely some Champaign or wine ;)

    PS
Dont be scared to scream and make noise, that is actually a turn on and allows you to really get into. You might not get that crazy the first time, but over time it is definitely sometime to incorporate ;)

Jen I'm so excited for you! it's like doors to a whole new world will open!! lol

Great advice from all the girls...
I would say I am a fan of some music in the background .. lessens some of the awkward bodily noises that may occur lol

Also .. I remember my first time I was so stressed about "doing it right" and ending in an orgasm .... there is no right or wrong way as long as you're having fun and enjoying yourself. You may or may not have an orgasm and if you don't, don't stress about it .. you'll eventually figure out how to get it just right.

Lube helps .. and I think blindfolds help sometimes too hah :)

    Have fun!!

This is the BEST post thread in a long time... The girls have given you great advice Jen... Seeing as you will probably have been drinking all night at the wedding, don't go too overboard with the champagne and shots. you don't want to be completely drunk either! lol.

And one piece of advice. if it hurts and you feel like there's no way that thing will fit in you, just remember that a baby's head comes out of there so IT WILL GO IN! My best friend lost hers on her wedding night too - unsuccessfully because she kept thinking she was too tight and he wasn't fitting. the next day her mom reminded her of that biological fact and VOILA!!! LOL />

I'm SOOO SOOOO SOOOO excited for you!!!!

Oh another tip.... I recently read in Cosmo and tested out with the Hubs... then FI (Which this advice may not be JUST for Jen... but I wanted to share.)

For times when he's ready to go, and you just are NOT close to being ready for that thing to come ANYWHERE near you! (lol....)

Women get more aroused (or quicker) when you have bare skin to skin contact. So... TAKE YOUR TIME. GET NAKED and have him lay on you or you lay on him, or side by side but SMOOSHED together! Spend lots of time lazily kissing and sooner than it might normally take you... you will be more aroused then if he is just trying to touch all of your turn on buttons and is wondering why they aren't working right now.

and seriously... about the lube... DO NOT USE A LOT! If you do... he will slip and slide too much and it will be over WAY TO SOON and you wont get a lot out of it. Start out with a dime sized amount... and if you need more... add another dime :)

Ok.... I'm going back to bed!
