Work VS. The Wedding Day

I'm in a chit-chatty mood this morning Laughing

Now that I'm 44 days out from my wedding, i've been thinking about when to take off from working prior to the wedding. My boss is always a month ahead on the schedules at work so she's been asking when i'm going to take off.
How many days are you taking off prior to your wedding?
I'm getting married on Saturday, July 28th, and I'm thinking about taking off the Tuesday or Wednesday before the wedding to make sure everything is in tip-top shape!

The downfall about my job.... i'm an office manager at a hotel & of course the weekend of my wedding theres a HUGE blues festival at our area ski resort. And, whos in charge of making sure everyone has a hotel room, the correct room, the correct location, yadda-yadda-yadda.... I AM!Frown
So i'll be stressing about my wedding & this stupid event, yay!

Our wedding is on July 7th.. so we are taking the whole week off before, we have family coming from out of town arriving the Monday before the wedding so we want to spend time with them.

We leave for our honeymoon on the Tuesday after our wedding and return the following Tuesday late, so we aren't going back to Thursday July 19th.  I can't wait!!!  2 weeks and 1 day left of work!! lol

I did the same. We could roll over 5 days from last year and I did that and we accumulate 2 days a month so I haven't been taking days off random like I usually do so I could take all that time off.

I am taking the week before and the week after the wedding off. I am doing a lot of DIY including the baking (with my mom) for the dessert bar so I need the extra time. The week after our wedding will be very empty in our office. We have four professional staff--I'll be out recovering from the festivities, my boss will be out on maternity leave, and my co-worker is on vacation!

I am getting Married 7/20 and I will be off from July 18th-August6 (I go back on the 6th) So i have just over two weeks off.

Everything is due to my vendor 5 days before the wedding so I didnt think I needed to take off the entire week before.  I am already stressed thinking about being out for so long!

I'm so jealous of everyone taking the week before their wedding off! I only took the Friday before the wedding off and now am starting to freak out about it. I can barely concentrate at work now...no idea how I'll even be functional the week of the wedding. I'm taking 9 days off of work though for the honeymoon and didn't want to use up every single day of my PTO.

I am also getting married July 28. I am taking Wednesday July 25 to Monday July 30 off. FI is only taking Friday off, but he has a lot less to do than me prior to the wedding. FI and I are not leaving for our honeymoon until August 10.

I'm not working right now so I've got nothing but time for the wedding so I'll be going to PA on July 2nd for our July 14th wedding.

FI is taking July 12th-22nd off for wedding and mini-honeymoon.

Then its back to school on Monday. Lately, I've been thinking about ditching school on Monday and having a mini getaway Sunday and Monday. I'm not sure yet.

My wedding is July 28th too!

I'm taking off the 25th (Wednesday before) through August 6.  I was only going to take off the Friday before, but my boss insisted I take more time - and gave me the time off as a "gift" rather than having to use my paid vacation time.  I probably should take that Monday and Tuesday too b/c I'm sure I won't get anything accomplished.

I will be "working from home" slash not working very much the week before the wedding. I will probably work on tying up loose ends the Monday and Tuesday before the wedding and then be out starting on Wednesday. Then I am taking off 8 days afterwards for our honeymoon, we will be gone for 10 days.

whoa this thread got long fast!

I'm taking off the week before and the week after. My wedding is OOT for me (in a different country, actually) so part of why I'm taking a full week off before is b/c there's a lot of stuff I can't do planning-wise from abroad. So my week leading up to the wedding will be jammed pack with last minute to-do's.
