HELP!!! IDEAS NEEDED

Hello. I am getting married in October. We have been together 11 years as of June 2011, since our Senior yr in high school . We are not going to do a wedding/reception. But we would like it to be a special day. Our current plans are to get the license, rings, do pictures, wedding announcements and hopefully a few days in the Keys or Bahamas. Not looking to spend a lot due to finances and our 2 children (9 yrs & 1 yrs old). I would still like the day to special for us. Looking for ideas to make our wedding day special. (FYI we live in Miami)

Welcome and congrats! FI and I are highschool sweethearts too! If I was in your shoes, I'd do everything you're already doing! To make it a bit more special, I think I would look into hiring a professional photographer. Also, I'd look for a nice restaurant to eat at (just you, your Hubby, and your kids) after the actual ceremony and I'd probably contact Publix or another bakery about getting a small wedding cake. I'd also probably get myself a bouquet to hold during the ceremony. I know it sounds weird but Publix has some very pretty, relatively inexpensive bouquets! Good luck!
