Inexpensive Cake bakers recs?

I need a grooms cake! I need an inexpensive baker that can make this for me. I have spent too much money as it is on the wedding cake so I dont want to spend a lot on it.

    im watching this..

    I went to get quotes last weekend to eddas and lucilas and they lost they damn minds! LOL... they both quoted me about $150 for a 40 person cake and they can not even make it chocolate..sorry Eddas can not make it chocolate.. Lucilas has a problem with using anything BUT chocolate frosting on a cholate cake.. hello i wanted a Miami dolphins cake..brown is not a color! Ahhh!

    Our grooms cake from couture cakes was about $360.00 and it serves 40 people. The cake is a lot because it's going to have a lot of detail. So I'd say $150 isn't a bad deal especially if it has a lot of detail.

    i know this is far fetched, but trying finding women through Facebook... There are a lot of people that do cakes from home and may charge cheaper than the big cake shops... I have this one on my friends list BUT have never bought from her or tasted a cake... but her cakes are beautiful, maybe you can do a tasting?

    I just contacted a Brazilian Cake baker ( The cake is a jersey from a brazilian soccer team) Wish me luck !!
