Should I cover my tattoo?

I have a small tattoo on my right shoulder blade, and I'm wondering if I should cover it up? I'm sure my family would appreciate it (they hate piercings and tattoos.) Any suggestions on how to?

I have seen Tatto cover up make up. I will let you know how it works over the weekend. My best Friend bought it to cover hers.

I've heard of great cover up make up by mac, but i'm not sure if it rub's off on clothing and i'm not too sure if there spray on make up covers it up. I would look around online, there use to be a make up company for individuals who have vertigo or facial birthmarks that was amazing.. so maybe you can find something like that. The  best advice i can give however is to try it out well in advance with white on and while sweating (just to make sure it doesn't run).

    Hope this helps.

I have one on my shoulder blade too and covered it up for two weddings...its hard to get it perfect but unless ur close it wont notice...this is how i did it..(i think i read it online or something)

u need to buy 3 shades of concelar 1 your shade and 2 consecutivly (sp) lighter

Apply the lighest one first let it dry (apply a little lose powder it'll dry faster)
    Then the second shade
And finally the shade that matches your skin

Have someone do it with a q tip and they can fill it in so its not all over the place...

The tattoo cover up kit from the knot works... ok. Not great. Be sure to have someone else practice on your tattoo a few times. I had to cover mine for my BFFs wedding and it looked terrible, because the girl who ended up doing it rushed it and it was just a big globby looking thing.

I have two big tattoos on my back and my makeup artist (Gloria Pelo) airbrushed it for the day of.

For my brothers wedding DH actually covered it up for with Dermablend and it worked great. IMO, the dermablend coverup did a better job then the airbrushing. I got it at Dillards and it was less than $20. It is typically used for burns and other scars. The only downside is that it started to run by the end of the night- my husband's shirt was tan from us dancing together! The airbrush lasted all night and then some. We were scrubbing in off in the shower while on our honeymoon!

get a tattoo cover up. Kat Von sells one now and I believe it works good. Or use make-up. I used bare escentuals to cover mine (making it wet) when I had to work and it worked good.

Also, talk to whoever's doing your makeup and discuss options.

Thank you so much! I'm going to wait until my maid of honor is home from New Jersey, then we're going to try all of these things. =]
