Hi Ladies! This week we met with two amazing officiants for our wedding in November. I know what your thinking- it's kind of late to be interviewing for officiants- but all this time we've been planning, my Pastor from home in Atlanta was supposed to be coming to marry us in Miami. Sadly he emailed me two months ago that his father had suffered a stroke and he would keep me posted about traveling here. Two weeks ago he let me know he will be unable to fly here and leave his Dad and Mom since he and his wife are caring for them. Of course, we totally understood but were deeply disappointed. So began our hunt...
If you are looking for someone to perform your ceremony I highly recommend these two:
Rev. Arlene Goldman- she is kind, peaceful, sweet and easy going. She writes amazing vows, has you fill out a questionaire to learn more about you and FI and incorporates your love story into the ceremony. Her fees are reasonable and she offers three different packages to choose from based on what you are looking for. Her husband is also ordained and performs marriage ceremonies- Rev Paul Goldman, so you may meet with both and choose which one you like. They are an awesome couple and provide much knowledge and insight into marriage. Here is their website:
Rev. Eddie Rodriguez- is an interfaith reverend and highly sought after in the South Florida area which we had no idea. He is also a family friend of FI's. He is very down to earth, friendly and personable. He is a little more expensive than Rev Arlene but he offers much more, including pre-marital meetings if you like. His ceremonies are personalized based on a questionaire and the meetings you have with him prior to the wedding. He is a really interesting individual and also offers Couple's Workshops once a month for $100 per couple. If you would like more information here is his site:

Although it was a hard decision because we enjoyed both so much, we ulitmately decided on Rev. Eddie. We liked the idea of meeting a few times before the wedding and getting to know him more so that he can connect with us. Which I will say he was easy to connect with in our interview and we felt very comfortable. I am defintiely excited for the BIG DAY and so happy we found a reverend to perform the ceremony we want, and incorporate the readings, traditions and personal touch to our service. Just wanted to share in case anyone else is in the same boat.
Peace & Blessings,
Katie Bee
