Save the date wording

Our reception venue is small.
Is it appropriate to ask on the save the dates to let us know if the invited can not make it?

Re: Save the date wording

  • Ummm.... I think that's what the actual invitation is for.... We did have some people tell us that they wouldn't be able to make the wedding after receiving the save the date. I, personally, would not ask them to RSVP yet...

  • I agree. Save-the-dates are to let people who you really want to come to your wedding know when it is so they don't make other plans. Just make a "b" list ask ask for your RSVPs back super early. As you get "no" responses, you can invite more people.
  • Thanks- I agree, I'll have a B list ready to go as the regrets come in.

  • If you need to know earlier than the traditional 4-6 weeks, just send the invite a little earlier. :)

  • Nope.

If you really want to know, try asking the person face to face. Sorry!
