Holy Guest List...

Alissa--your invite ticker made me go check our numbers to make sure we were ok (224 Yikes)!!!

We planned for 150...our list is at 189 right now and FFIL just called to add...wait for it....16 more people!!!

OMG, what are we going to do?!?!  I seriously am praying for no responses.

    lol... we startedat 175 invited and now here we are at 224. my parents keep pulling people out of their ying yangs. Worst part - my room holds a max of 200. Gulp.

    holy crap so you are over 200 people now too! ahhh! when do you plan to send your invites?

    And not to freak you out even more but I didnt think of this till later so maybe this will help you tell your mom no more people...  if all these people DO come, you need MORE linens, more chairs, more chargers and more CP's. My original floral quote was for 12 tables. If we have more than 140 people rsvp yes, my floral budget is going to give me and FI a coronary.

    oh yeah I seriously already thought of the more tables, etc. because last night I did a mock seating chart in case EVERYONE shows up.  There are at least 10 people I can count on not coming, but must invite, but that still leaves me at 195!  

    I will seriously die if we go that much over.  We aren't sending invites out until end of February, but we have done STD's already.  GULP.  

    It's funny cause lately I have been like oh we should have kept it smaller, like 80-100 instead of 150.  Now look where we are at.  Karma.

    JEEZ!!!!!!!!!! : /  Are you guys okay with budget? I mean, if this is not too much of an issue, I say the more the merrier :D

    I just went and did the same thing. We're at 209! Invites are going out this week and we already have 11 no's (but they're still counted since they're getting invites). We budgeted for 130 and I think we'll end up with 150. I guess that's not too much over, but we'll see what surprises we have in store!

    Tiff - if either of us gets  over 200 rsvp's yes, let's please go for drinks. very strong drinks hehe.

    The floral part is where it will hit me hard if I go over majorly in numbers. If I have 25 people at a 10 top table dont judge me, k ladies? Wink

    Something like this happened to us. We thought we were only inviting 120-130 and in the end it's up to 165!!! (167 including us!)

    But it seems like you can count on almost 20% declines so maybe that will help!?!?

    Chris--ok with budget is relative right?!   LOL.  (50 extra people is like 5k more in food, 5 extra CP's, 5 extra tables, etc.)

    FI's mom said she doesn't care they will pay for over, but ugh the last thing I want to go over for is more people (people I don't know mind you).

    I am seriously going through making a B list right now to see who we can hold off on inviting until we get some No's.

    Alisss drinks are on for sure!  We have to meet anyways since I didn't get to see you at the G2G.  Then we can commiserate on the floral budgets. 

    Jaime--I am so counting on at least 20% people not coming....if we have 25% decline we will be fine!

    Alissa--I live in Orange County...lol (I am in orlando finishing law school), but will be moving there in May because I got a job in Miami. 

    But we are down there all the time!  We are coming in two weeks in fact for Christmas break.  I will be at the G2G in December for sure.

    yikes!!! I am trying to cut my list for my bridal shower (really its our wedding pre party) my list is about 145 and we had told the country club reception that we are thinking about 80 people. The room holds up to 200 people. But we are on a budget. That was the whole point of a DW. lol

    My FMIL every time sees me says..hhuummm I still thinking of who else to inite mind you she already gave me a list of FI family.....

    Wow at the numbers!  That's a lot of peeps.  I stress out about my numbers all the time and I only went from 60 to 75. 

    Lyn - the date is Dec. 19th at 7pm but I'm not sure where in dade it is but i think it's south.  i'll carpool with you!

    I started at ~60 and I went up to 112. I'm really hoping it stays around 60 still!!
