Indie rock DJ? Miami

Hi all, I'm not super into top 40 music and definately don't want anything cheesy like the Black eyed peas "I've got a feeling" played at my wedding. Does anyone know of a good dj in Miami that plays different stuff like indie rock music?

Or a band that plays 1920s or new oreans jazz? Thanks!

Any DJ worth their salt will play whatever it is you want them to.  Generally you give them your song choices several months before the wedding, and they assemble your playlist. Our DJ was great, we gave him a list of all sorts of kooky songs and he found each and every one of them. We didnt want cheesy top 40 music at ours either. Here's a big hint  - if your DJ is named "DJ Joe" or something silly like that, walk away. If his name is "Dj Fabuloz" or something like THAT, run.

Haha. Thats what I'm thinking. I'm not talking to any "celebrity DJs". Who did you use?

Al Lews. He has been doing weddings for years and has no nightclub aspirations. He was absolutely fantastic. $700 for 6 hours which included the ceremony. He was the saturday and sunday night DJ at 102.7, but I think he left recently. His # is 954-309-2632 tell him Sarah sent you.

I do agree with PoultryPrincess, a dj should be able to gather the type of music you like or the songs you want to use and make a playlist mirroring your like in music.

Thanks everyone. I actually called another Dj and he told me exactly what poultyprincess said. That I could make a list of songs to give to him and he'd play them
