If it's in your price range, it's an amazing place.

    Beautiful but so expensive

When I was venue shopping (about a year ago now) their base fee for JUST the venue was $12,500. They are also picky about who they work with, since they are a historical site and belong to the city of coral gables, there is an application process to host the event there. Then they have more insurance requirements than other venues, as well. I know that they work with my planning company so if you're still interested you can always contact Fetes and Events (www.bestmiamiweddings.com).  But in my opinion, it's not worth it for the huge cost, because you still have to get your DJ, florist, photographer, caterer squared away. Same with the Venetian Pool (also owned by the city of coral gables).

I adore Vizcaya and always thought that I would get married there...until I found out how much ot costs (see above post).  It is beautiful and amazing and all of that, so if it is in your budget, I say go for it!

I looked into it it just for fun.  The basic fee depends on how many people you are inviting and started somewhere around $13K for four hours.  If you want to stay longer then it it more money per hour, about $1,500 .  Then they said there were a bunch of extra fees for catering and cleaning and this and that.  When I added everythign up, I was almost at $20 and it did not include food and alcohol!  It was a fun dream until I called and got teh facts.
