I just needed to rant at this point because I feel as though facebook is too public and I don't necessarily want to rant to my family or friends because I don't want to hurt anyones feelings but this situation has become too much! I used to be very involved in my church but my FI is not. He doesn't attend church, which is his prerogative as far as I am concerned. However because of this, we've had quite a few people who disapprove of our relationship and ultimately our marriage. When I got engagement it was pretty much ignored, and I dont't care about getting congratulations (I was obviously ecstatic, who cares about others lol) but whenever I would mention it they'd say "Oh I heard" in sad tones, etc. I ignored this. But I've been pretty much excluded from volunteering at church and such because of it. Again I ignored this because my relationship is with God and not men (err women, you get the picture lol). But we're 8 months out and it's irritating to be told that people are praying for you to break up or ignoring it all together. I just think it's a tad ridiculous, if you wanted him to go to church so bad you'd behave the opposite and be kind and inviting. Just needed a place to vent...
