Delegating things to FI...

...I don't know why I do it.  About two weeks ago, we met with the pastor who told us that we would be allowed to use our own organist.  I asked FI to send him an email to let him know he was approved by the church council or whatever it is and about contacting the organist at the church for more information. Today I got a reply card back from my cousin whose son is my ring bearer and whose husband was supposed to play the organ for our ceremony.  There was a note on the back.  She wanted to know if it was okay for them to only come down the day of the wedding since Ron is "no longer going to be playing organ."  I didn't know if something was wrong, so I called my mom, who called my aunt who talked to my great aunt.Long story short, apparently Ron is about as good as reading as FI is at communicating.  FI's email started with, "I don't know if Angela told you or not, but you will be allowed to be our organist."  Ron just skimmed the email and thought it said he was not allowed to be our organist.  Not that anyone called us to ask or anything... they're odd like that, though.I think I will limit FI's involvement to manual labor from here on out.

  • LOL! I wish that I could give you words of encouragement! The only thing that deals with communication he is allowed to help with are proofing what I wrote or giving suggestions! LOL! As much as I don't want to believe the stereotypes, thye keep showing to be true! Well, at least you found out before your wedding day. Good luck with the rest of your planning!
  • Luckily the Mr. is pretty on top of it. He searched out and booked our JP and got me on the hop on Thursday to get our marriage license. I think deep down he's even more excited then I am!
