Halloween Appetizers

We are hosting a wedding celebration party on Friday, November 13th. It's going to be very casual with finger foods and drinks. We want to stick with the Halloween theme, and I'm looking appetizer ideas. This is what I have so far: "bat" wings, mummy dogs, cheese pumpkins, deviled eggs, pumpkin seeds, and hot apple cider. We are also having a cupcake tower with a small cake on top. Any other suggestions? I'm hoping to find some sort of dip I think and maybe a few more things. Thanks!

Re: Halloween Appetizers

  • What about "hell fire" dip? (aka, buffalo chicken dip)There's a girl on the board I frequent with a really great spinach and artichoke dip. 1 package frozen chopped spinach thawed, no need to drain1 can plain artichoke hearts, drained and quartered1 package cream cheese room temperature1/2 cup grated parmiggiano cheese1/2 cup part skim mozzarella, grated2 tsp dry basilgarlic powder, salt and pepper to tastemix it all togetherput it in a 9x9 baking dishbake uncovered at 350 degrees, about 20 minutes or until cheese is bubblysprinkle some extra cheese on topserve hot once golden brown on top with anything...crackers, vegetables, tortilla chips or toasted bread. The only things I changed about this recipe is that I used fresh minced garlic and fresh minced basil, but it's really excellent.
  • We love chips and salsa...we take a large shallow chip dish and sit a mini skeleton in it, then we half bury him in blue corn chips (looks like he's rising from the ground) and serve with salsa on the side. Always get positive comments, people think it's cute and Halloweenish without being gruesome.
