What to wear under a dress?

I know I'm on a roll today on dress questions....

So what did you ladies wear under your dress?

Spanx?

Corset?

I'm sorta lost on this one...

I wore spanx but only because I get super hot and I didn't want my legs to chafe under the dress.  If you're not like that then I think you could get away with just regular underwear.  It looks like your dress has some boning in it so I don't think you'll need a corset.

I am not wearing spanx because my dress is A-line and you wouldn't be able to tell either way. And I don't find spanx comfortable. I would wear them if my dress was more form-fitting on my hips and thighs, though.

I am wearing a corset, because it's what Reene recommended. I had a regular strapless bra that I bought, but since I wear a D-cup, she explained that it wouldn't work. The heavy dress will pull the bra down with gravity (and my chest would sag with it). She explained that a corset or long-line bra sits at the hips, so it can't ride down or go anywhere, and my boobs would stay up and supported. This made perfect sense when she said it, and I feel much more comfortable in my dress now.

I only wore a strapless and my cute "bride" undies :-)
My dress was a A-line and I was VERY comfortable the entire night.

Spanx. And I'm considering getting cups sewn in, even though I already have a long line bra.

I only wore Spanx and that was because I had to tuck my butt a little more in for a better fit. hehe. Otherwise I would have only worn underwear....and that's all. Oh and I wore no bra because I had the cups sowed in.

I had cups sewn in, but also wore one of those plastic stick-on stralpless bras b/c I wanted to give the girls a little help in creating the amount of cleavage that the dress demanded.  )  Other than that, I just wore a nude & pink lace thong.  HTH!

I heart my Spanx! I will probably wearing that and hopefully finding some time to slip into something cuter later on that night

fake spanx for the thigh chafing thing.  my dress had support built in!

I'm planning on wearing a slip underneath mine because so far, all the dresses I've tried on have had itchy tool = no fun! That's the advice that was given to me when I was complaining and totally freaking out about wearing a long dress for once in my life!
