Ladies, I am having an awful day and I would like to see some pretty photos.

Won't you please PIP your favorite "detail" for your wedding?

I'll start. I commissioned this lady on etsy to create this with the different places I've visited with fiance. She's doing it a black base, rather than a brown base, so that it matches the rest of our chalkboard signs:

We're having cakes on each guest table that look similar to this except white fondant and different flowers, not just blue hydrangeas.




I don't have a picture of how we're doing the 'cake stand' but we're using hourglass vases filled halfway with sand, a tall candle, and colored glass stones.  I love the whole thing!!!

I love all of my centerpieces that each one is going to be unique. They're all in my signature, so I won't PIP those though.

This seems silly, but I love our cake stand. I got it on sale and it's great quality. I just never thought we'd get to use a fancy stand at all!
 Oh, and I'm also excited for the Groom's cake. He has no idea I ordered one!

FutureMrs I LOVE your cake stand. I was actually going to order a round one like that until we decided to go with seperate cakes as opposed to 1 wedding cake. Again LOVE it.

Fun!

I think I'm most excited for our whiskey bar at the reception. My FI and I have gotten really into Scotch since moving to the UK. We are bringing over a few nice bottles as well as getting some American whiskey there. We'll have a little bar set-up next to the regular bar for the whiskey fans.

I don't have a pic of the bar of course, but here is a (somewhat crappy) pic of the menu I made for it:

Thank you! I got it on amazon for like $70. It's 14" x 14". My baker was impressed I got one for such a good price.

I just love looking at all of these pictures!

All these groom's cakes make me think again about having on for FI.  I was going to have one at the rehearsal dinner but then my aunt got all pissy about not making a cake for the wedding and my mom gave her that.  I really don't want that much cake though and she does not sculp cakes like what I'd want.

My cake topper is my favorite detail. We used an actual screenshot from my FI star wars game and changed the dress to strapless and changed the hair colors and soda bottles.

Bmore! Your whiskey bar is really cool! Whiskey is practically non-negotiable at weddings here and while our bar won't be as sophisticated as yours ;-) we'll be serving whiskey as well. Are you serving any mixers with them?? FI's favorite drink is Godfather so there will be amaretto, and the usual club soda to mix with if someone doesn't want on the rocks.

Well, the whiskey bar is pretty much my FI's responsibility to figure out. The only part I'm taking is making the menu and carrying one liter of scotch through customs. But I just asked him and he said absolutely NO MIXERS (other than water, which is common to put in scotch). He is such a snob about whiskey lol. We only drink it straight, but I know some ppl like to mix it, so I'm sure if they really want to they can get it straight and then walk over to the regular bar (which will be next to it) and get a mixer. The regular bar from the caterer will have all the normal mixers you see at a bar, so hopefully it will satisfy ppl!

Gotcha. I'm not much of a whiskey fan, so if I have to drink it I prefer a mixer lol. After I asked you I immediately thought, well wait, if her FI is a scotch snob, there probably won't be any mixers haha. But I like the idea you mentioned of people going to the other bar to mix it with something if they'd like, that should be nice! :

I am really excited about our ceremony decor too. 

It will be just like this except different flowers/colors. I am also super happy with my flower girl dress that I just recieved in the mail today I need to get the sash sewn on but here is my daughter wearing it.
