Hi Ladies! I usually post on the OC boards but I am getting married in Long Beach so maybe you ladies can help. FI and I are looking for an officiant. We want a civil ceremony and we dont want anyone cheesy, preferably a male, and less than $300!! Any recs? We (I) thought about having someone ordained, FI didnt like the idea. Any help would be great!

We went with Chris with "officiant guy" he was so professional and exactly what we wanted for our beach wedding. He will help you with creating any type of civil wedding. We went with the officiant guy too but not with Chris, with his partner Steve.  We met with Steve and Fi like his speaking voice.  Steve has a "radio" voice.  Fi also ddin't want the "guy who married Scott Baio" to marry us. lol

ha ha I had no idea he married Scott Baio, I later saw him on his website. He also married Kendra on the "Kendra" show ha ha. I was honored to have been married by him ha ha

One of the best decisions that we could have made for the wedding was to ask our friend to officiate for us.  He was ordained through the Universal Life Ministry and it was free.  Having someone we knew to perform the most important ceremony in our lives really meant a lot to us.

got an email back from spencer.. he wanted $400 + $100 donation. Still waiting on an answer from the "officiant guy".. thank you all for the help! i would have a friend/family get ordained.. but like I said, FI isn't into it.. AND he wont help me do the research *sigh*
