Hi Ladies, I've finally decided to do it! I'm going to change my name! Does anyone have that info set that someone made to do it? I know you start with the SS administration, but I'm not sure how to go about beginning. Thank you!!!!

Yes, you start with Social Security.  You need to bring your marriage certificate (not license) with you to the social security office.  I think I also had to show them my driver's license (the old one) for identification. It doesn't cost anything with SS.Once you change your name with SS, you can go to the DMV (appointment advised!), and then change your other accounts.  I had to write a check for $22 to the DMV.  They gave me a termporary license, and I the final license within a week in the mail.

My mom laminated mine a long time ago, and later read the back that clearly states "Do Not Laminate This Card" also void if not signed and of course mine is not signed either... I've been kind of dreading bringing it in.
